Phase 1: Founding Engineers

Phase 1 is live. Build the core platform together.

Phase 1 is a limited, collaborative build focused on training and connecting the next generation of AI engineers by shipping a real platform together. It is funded and operated by Level3ID.

What this is (and what it is not)

This is not

  • A course
  • A bootcamp
  • A certification
  • A watch-and-wait program

This is

  • A real product build
  • Small, focused teams
  • Public progress
  • Portfolio-grade work

Phase 1 focus: builders

We are selecting a small, capped cohort across core roles. Each group builds a critical system, and the platform goes live when they come together.

  • Frontend Engineers (priority)
  • Backend Engineers (priority)
  • AI / Agent Logic Engineers
  • Infrastructure / DevOps

Capacity: 30 applicants per category. U.S. citizens only.

Timeline

8–12 weeks, fixed delivery

Weeks 1–2: Planning, onboarding, setup
Weeks 3–10: Active build phase
Weeks 11–12: Polish, integration, public launch
You finish with something real, shipped, and public.

How selection works

  1. 1. Submit an application
  2. 2. AI-assisted evaluation and role fit ranking
  3. 3. Human review and final selection
  4. 4. Invites sent with clear timelines

Application fee

The application fee is $15 (non-refundable). Stripe handles payments and the funds are used to support the project. This is not payment for work and not a subscription.

If you are not selected as a founding engineer, you receive one year of access for free and your name is listed on the Founding Starters page.

Capacity + commitment

  • Applicant cap: 30 engineers (hard cap).
  • Time commitment: 6–8 hrs/week (expected minimum).
  • Phase length: 8–12 weeks.

What you walk away with

  • Shipped production work and public attribution.
  • GitHub commits and portfolio-ready artifacts.
  • Real collaboration experience.
  • Future opportunities as the platform evolves.
